Hosted Anti-virus and Anti-spam Solution

Spam is more prevaliant and more of a problem than viruses these days, but a great number of people believe that there is no solution to this annoying and costly issue and simply continue hitting the delete button.

Computing Explained believes that a fully managed hosted anti-virus and anti-spam is the best solution in the continuing battle against the greatest threat to your business from the internet.

A hosted solution means that all of your emails are scanned by our servers before they reach your server. This has many advantages, of which the major benefits are:

  • Quick and easy to set up.
  • No hardware or software to install and maintain.
  • No IT workload with continually updating your own in-house virus and spam software and definition files.
  • Reduces the risk of email based viruses and spam from entering your system.
  • Reduces the risk of staff being exposed to explicit material.
  • Prevents 95-99% of spam from being transmitted to your server which improves server efficiency and saves bandwidth and costs.

Through an easy to use internet portal, each user will be able to:

  • Specify domains or email addresses of people or organisations that they always want to receive emails from by adding them to their whitelist.
  • Enhance the blocking of unsolicited email by specifying domains or email address of people or organisations by adding them to their blacklist.
  • Review the blocked emails and release any rare false positives.

A whitelist and blacklist is also set up against your company domain name in order to control your anti-spam protection on a higher level. This is maintained by an nominated administrator.

Every user is given a daily quarantine report and the administrator receives weekly and monthly statistic reports.
